Abracadabra: Gulf Arabic suspense comedy at Dubai Opera on 18-19 December
Two struggling theatre troupes, one abandoned theatre and an hour of surprises in an Arabic-language Gulf production.

Abracadabra, an Arabic-language Gulf theatre production described by The National as a suspense comedy, plays Dubai Opera on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December 2026. The show runs for about an hour with no interval.
The story follows two theatre groups in financial trouble who try to rescue their careers by staging a new show in an abandoned theatre, where strange events pull them into an unexpected adventure, according to the Platinumlist listing. It is presented by Al Qaiser Events as a venue hire, rather than produced by Dubai Opera.
Show times and cast have not been published yet. Dubai Opera's usual rules apply: children under 3 are not allowed in the main auditorium, under-18s must come with an adult, and latecomers may not be admitted once the performance has started.
The production sits in a busy December at Dubai Opera, which also hosts Enrico Macias on 10 December, Guy Manoukian on 11 December and Denis Matsuev on 16 December.
