Evloev wants his first UFC finish against Volkanovski, and reveals they once shared a gym
The unbeaten challenger has won every UFC fight on points, and says the title shot is the night to change that.

Movsar Evloev has never stopped an opponent inside the Octagon, and he wants UFC 333 to be the first time. “This is my first title fight,” he told MMA Fighting, as reported by MMA Sucka. “And we're looking to make it my first finish in the UFC.”
Evloev also revealed that he and Alexander Volkanovski are not strangers. “We trained at the same gym,” he told MMA Fighting, adding that it was before he joined the UFC, when he was still competing at bantamweight. MMA Sucka did not name the gym.
He said he wants the champion at his very best, so that a win means more, and recalled that he beat champions before reaching the UFC. Since his UFC debut in April 2019 he has not lost in the Octagon.
Volkanovski, for his part, has said in a YouTube video that wrestling him will not work and that Evloev's best bet is to land a knockout, per MMA Sucka. The two shook hands before and after their face-off earlier in the build-up, Sport Mail reported.
If Evloev (20-0) does finish the fight, it would also end Volkanovski's second reign as champion. The featherweight title fight headlines UFC 333 at Etihad Arena on Saturday 24 October.
