Ramy Sabry's career: from songwriter to Al Qamar, before Etihad Arena
The Egyptian singer began by writing for Sherine and Fadl Shaker. His new album Al Qamar arrived in June, five months before his 28 November Abu Dhabi show.

Ramy Sabry headlines Etihad Arena on Saturday 28 November, in a show billed as The Arab Icon Ramy Sabry Live. Here is the career that got him to an arena headline slot.
Born in Cairo in 1978, Sabry started behind the scenes. According to Forbes Middle East, he first composed songs for Amer Mounib, Sherine Abdel-Wahab and Fadl Shaker before releasing his own debut album, Habibi El Awalani, in 2006.
Albums such as Ghammadt Einy, Agmal Layaly Omry, El Ragel and Ana Bahebak Enta followed. His 2020 single Hayati Mesh Tamam was the ninth most streamed Arabic song on Anghami that year, and Forbes ranked him 12th among the most streamed Arab singers on the platform.
His newest album, Al Qamar, landed in June 2026 with 13 songs, Egypt Telegraph reported. One track, Falta, pairs lyrics by Tamer Hosny with music by Sabry himself, a reminder that he still writes as well as sings.
Abu Dhabi crowds have seen him before, with past shows at Space42 Arena and on the Corniche for New Year's Eve. The Etihad Arena date falls the night after Tarkan plays the same venue.
