UAE Flag Day 2026: Tuesday 3 November at 11am, and no, it's not a holiday

Flags are raised at the same moment across all seven emirates; offices and schools stay open.

UAE Flag Day falls on Tuesday 3 November 2026. A nationwide flag-raising takes place at 11am, when government entities, schools, offices and organisations across the seven emirates raise the UAE flag at the same time, Gulf News reported.

It is not an official public holiday, so 3 November is a normal working day. Emiratis and residents join in at workplaces, schools and in public spaces.

Flag Day opens a season of national celebrations. Eid Al Etihad, the 55th UAE National Day, falls on Wednesday 2 December, and the public holiday law sets 2 and 3 December as the days off, though Time Out Dubai notes the dates can still be moved.

Attractions are joining in too. Dubai Miracle Garden lists UAE Flag Day among the weekly themes of its 15th season, with special celebrations also planned for Eid Al Etihad.
