Who is Movsar Evloev? The 20-0 challenger facing Volkanovski at UFC 333
Unbeaten in 20 pro fights, Evloev gets his first title shot at Etihad Arena on 24 October.

Movsar Evloev fights for the UFC featherweight title for the first time at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday 24 October. He has never lost: his professional record is 20-0.
Evloev is 32 and comes from Ingushetia in Russia, where he still fights out of Sunzha. Thirteen of his twenty wins have gone to the judges, which says a lot about how he fights: steady pressure and wrestling for the full distance.
His UFC run includes wins over Nik Lentz and Hakeem Dawodu in 2021, Dan Ige in 2022, Diego Lopes in 2023, and Arnold Allen and former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling in 2024.
He earned the title shot in March in London, beating the previously unbeaten Lerone Murphy by majority decision despite a point deduction for a groin kick. Al Jazeera noted he has added spinning strikes to his game since his previous fight.
Across the cage stands Alexander Volkanovski, the 37-year-old Australian champion.
