Every comedian announced so far for the third edition, from Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani to Anubhav Singh Bassi and Whitney Cummings.
The Abu Dhabi Comedy Season is back for its third edition, with every show so far at Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Live Nation Middle East presents it with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi and Miral, Gulf News reports. More names are still expected.
Morgan Jay opened the season on 11 October with a mix of stand-up, improvised songs and crowd work. Russell Peters follows on Sunday 25 October, back at Etihad Arena with his observational comedy and impressions.
November starts with Mo Amer on Friday 6 November. The Palestinian-American comic draws on displacement and immigration, and his Netflix series Mo won a Peabody Award in 2023. Maz Jobrani plays the next night, Saturday 7 November, with a set on immigrant life, cultural misunderstandings and family expectations.
Saturday 21 November is a double bill. Anubhav Singh Bassi performs his Hindi show Kisi Ko Batana Mat at 6pm, and Aries Spears, known for eight seasons on MADtv, makes his Abu Dhabi debut at 10pm. The season then jumps to 31 January 2027, when Paul Smith and Whitney Cummings both play Etihad Arena.
The event started in 2024 as the nine-day Abu Dhabi Comedy Week, with Dave Chappelle, Aziz Ansari, Chris Tucker, Andrew Schulz and Jo Koy. In 2025 it grew into a season lasting several months, with names including Chappelle, Trevor Noah, Kevin Hart, Michael McIntyre, Gabriel Iglesias and Bill Burr.
