Chicago the Musical at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai from 16 to 20 December
Kander and Ebb's 1920s jazz-age classic, with All That Jazz and Cell Block Tango, comes to City Walk for a short December run.
Chicago the Musical plays Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 December 2026, FACT Magazine reported. The National says the Broadway production will give eight performances during the run.
The show opened on Broadway in 1975 with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, and transferred to London's West End in 1979. FACT notes that it has become one of the longest-running musicals of all time and that its style is closely tied to Fosse's choreography.
Set in 1920s Chicago, it follows Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two women on trial who turn their cases into a route to fame. Songs include All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Razzle Dazzle, When You're Good to Mama and Mister Cellophane.
Many people know the story from the 2002 film with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renée Zellweger and Richard Gere, which won six Academy Awards including Best Picture. The production played Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi from 12 to 22 September 2026 before this Dubai return, per FACT.
