Hans Zimmer Next Level setlist: what to expect at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi
Dune, The Dark Knight, Interstellar and Pirates of the Caribbean anchor the 2026 tour set that reaches Yas Island on 13 November.
Hans Zimmer Live: The Next Level comes to Etihad Arena on Friday 13 November, with the show due to start at 8.30pm, according to The National. The 2026 tour has already played Asia and Australia, so the shape of the night is now fairly clear.
Happy Mag's preview of the Australian dates splits the concert into two acts. The first covers The Dark Knight trilogy, Dune, Man of Steel, The Da Vinci Code, Dunkirk, Sherlock Holmes, Gladiator and Elysium. The second moves through Inception, Angels & Demons, Pearl Harbor, the F1 main theme, Dune: Part Two, Interstellar and The Lion King.
The encore is built around Pirates of the Caribbean, with The Kraken, Jack Sparrow and He's a Pirate, before a return to Inception and its closing piece Time. Happy Mag notes that the running order can change from night to night and that Beyond Rangoon has been dropped from the 2026 set. Plan for around three hours, including an interval.
Zimmer plays with a 19-piece band and guest vocalists; on the Australian leg these included the Australian singer Lisa Gerrard, X-Press Magazine reported. The tour uses a new stage concept that mixes electronic sound design with orchestra, and Zimmer has said, as quoted by Bandwagon, that he wants fans to feel like they are at "a rave party or riding a roller coaster".
The music behind the show carries serious weight. X-Press credits Zimmer with two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes and five Grammys across more than 500 scored projects. The Abu Dhabi concert is part of the 23rd Abu Dhabi Festival, Gulf News reported.
