Hotels near Etihad Arena: where to stay on Yas Island for a show
Walking and driving times from the main Yas Island hotels to Etihad Arena, from the Hilton next door to The WB.
If you are travelling from Dubai or abroad for a show at Etihad Arena, a room on Yas Island saves the long drive home at the end of the night. Yas Island's official travel guide lists approximate walking and driving times from each hotel to the arena.
The closest option is Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, about a seven-minute walk or two minutes by car. It sits on the waterfront promenade with bay-view rooms, an outdoor pool and a children's club, and the McCafferty's pub is inside the hotel.
W Abu Dhabi Yas Island is about 16 minutes on foot and is built over Yas Marina Circuit, with track or marina views. A group of hotels sits about 18 to 19 minutes' walk away, or six to eight minutes by car: Crowne Plaza Yas Island, Staybridge Suites, Yas Plaza Marina, Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson.
For families or longer stays, Staybridge Suites has suites with full kitchens and daily breakfast included, and DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences offers 156 serviced apartments about nine minutes away by car. The WB Abu Dhabi, a Warner Bros.-themed five-star hotel, is about ten minutes by car.
Upcoming arena nights include UFC 333 on 24 October, Hans Zimmer on 13 November and Andrea Bocelli on 2 December. If your show falls during Grand Prix week, 3 to 6 December, expect heavy traffic on the island, as Formula1.com warns of congestion after each day's track action.
