Mexico City Grand Prix 2026 preview: the next title stop after Austin
F1 heads to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez from 30 October to 1 November, five weeks before the Abu Dhabi finale.

After the United States Grand Prix in Austin on 25 October, Formula 1 moves straight on to Mexico. The Mexico City Grand Prix runs from 30 October to 1 November at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and is round 20 of the season, according to RacingNews365.
If Kimi Antonelli has not clinched the title in Texas, Mexico is his next chance. He leads Mercedes team-mate George Russell by 102 points, with Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc further back. After Mexico come São Paulo on 8 November, Las Vegas on 22 November, Qatar on 29 November and the Abu Dhabi finale from 4 to 6 December.
The circuit sits 2,240 metres above sea level. The lap is 4.304 km and the race runs over 71 laps, with the 2021 lap record of 1:17.774 still standing.
Last year Lando Norris won from pole, more than 30 seconds clear of Leclerc, with Verstappen third. The result moved Norris into the championship lead by one point over Oscar Piastri, and he went on to win the title in Abu Dhabi five weeks later.
The 2025 race had plenty of other stories. Hamilton took a 10-second penalty for cutting Turns 4 and 5 and dropped to eighth, while Oliver Bearman finished fourth for Haas, equalling the team's best result. Wikipedia's race record puts the weekend crowd at 401,326.
