Musicals and theatre in the UAE, 2026 to 2027: Chicago, Phantom, Charlie, Cats
The big stage shows coming to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, from Titizé this month to Cats next June.
The theatre season opens with Titizé: A Venetian Dream at Dubai Opera from 29 to 31 October, an acrobatic show by Compagnia Finzi Pasca with matinée and evening performances. In December, Chicago the Musical plays Coca-Cola Arena from 16 to 20 December, FACT Magazine reports.
In the new year, Swan Lake on Ice by Imperial Ice Stars plays Dubai Opera from 14 to 17 January 2027. Abu Dhabi's Etihad Arena then hosts The Phantom of the Opera from 10 to 28 March 2027, with 13 performances, The National reported.
Two more musicals follow on Yas Island. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory runs at Etihad Arena from 14 to 23 May 2027, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats plays the same venue from 4 to 13 June 2027, according to FACT Magazine.
Age rules differ by show. For Cats, Platinumlist recommends ages 6 and up and requires under-16s to be with an adult aged 21 or over, so check each listing before booking for children.
