Power Slap 25 results: Dayne Viernes beats Kamotskii again in Abu Dhabi
The super heavyweight champion won the rematch on the judges' cards at Space42 Arena on Friday night.
Dayne "Da Hawaiian Hitman" Viernes beat Vasilii "Dumpling" Kamotskii on the judges' scorecards after five rounds in the main event of Power Slap 25 at Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi on Friday 23 October, Sport-Express reported. It was a title fight, and both men lost a point: Viernes in round one for striking on the wrong count, Kamotskii in round two for a foul.
The rivalry goes back further than this pair. Kamotskii fought Dayne's older brother Layne Viernes to a majority draw in Abu Dhabi in October 2024, then beat him in a rematch to win the super heavyweight title, The National reported. Dayne took the belt from Kamotskii in 2025 and has now beaten him twice. Kamotskii was competing in Abu Dhabi for the third year in a row and had said he had never won there.
On the rest of the card, according to the official results: Pavol Horelican knocked out Nikica Vujicic in round three at light heavyweight, Frigyes Szabo stopped Cameron Delano in round two at middleweight, and Tangjialike Shalaguli beat Neeraj Kumar by disqualification in round two at welterweight. Michael Back won a unanimous decision (28-26 on all three cards) over Jaco Marneweck at super heavyweight, and Peter Truchlik knocked out Merlin Muusikus in round two at middleweight.
Power Slap opened the fight nights of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, the evening before UFC 333 at Etihad Arena. Power Slap CEO Frank Lamicella told The National that "Abu Dhabi is the world's fight capital".
