Tamer Ashour's Merayet El Hob: the 12-song album he brings to Abu Dhabi
Ashour's summer album, released all at once in July, heads to Etihad Arena on 17 October alongside his older hits.
Tamer Ashour released his album Merayet El Hob, or Mirror of Love, in July 2026. Misr Connect reported on 20 July that all 12 songs arrived at once on digital platforms and on his official YouTube channel, rather than as a run of singles.
Track titles named by Misr Connect include Nazelt Etmasheet, Wlad Halal, Gadaa, Wosooli, Makan El Sah, Metlakhbta Ahwali, Shoftni, Asif and Mesh Farealy. The title track has lyrics by Samir Tarek, music by Tantawy and an arrangement by Amadeo, and the album moves from romantic and dramatic songs to more upbeat tracks.
Gadaa has drawn the strongest response on digital platforms and social media, Misr Connect reported in August, and several songs topped listening and trending charts on music platforms and YouTube. Two days after release, Ashour announced on X that the album had been removed from Anghami, without giving a reason, while saying his music would stay available on other platforms.
He has been on the road since. He played U Arena in New Alamein with Lebanese singer Elissa on 21 August, opened the Laylet Omr season in Kuwait with Hussain Al Jassmi on 2 October, and gave a charity concert at Cairo's Qasr El Qobba on 11 October. After Abu Dhabi, he plays the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat on 6 November.
On Yas Island he shares the bill with Tamer Hosny. Misr Connect expects new album songs next to older favourites, and lists Haygely Mawgow, Tegy Ntrahen, Qololo Samah, Zikrayat Kaddaba and Khaliny Fe Hodnak as the songs fans request most at his concerts.
