Petr Yan's $30,000 crocodile-leather waistcoat at the UFC 333 press conference

Petr Yan's outfit at the UFC 333 press conference in Abu Dhabi on 22 October got almost as much attention in Russia as his words. The centrepiece was a crocodile-leather waistcoat that, according to its designer, costs $30,000, or about 2.5 million roubles, Meta MMA reported.
The leather is finished in a style called "Himalaya", shading from grey to a lighter tone so that it resembles snowy mountains. Crocodile leather of this type is among the most expensive because it is difficult to process, the outlet noted.
The waistcoat was made by Vladislav Bykov, a 30-year-old Russian couturier who founded the fashion house VLAD BYKOV Couturier House. He was born in Kanash in the Chuvash Republic.
The rest of the look was quieter: grey leather sneakers, a beige long-sleeve top in silk and cotton, and trousers in Italian fabric. Yan defends the bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili in the co-main event at Etihad Arena on Saturday 24 October.
