UAE Warriors 74 results: Abdueva takes the strawweight title, Essam stays unbeaten
Egypt's Abdelrahman Essam drew with Sylvester Chipfumbu in the co-main event at ADNEC on Thursday.
UAE Warriors 74 took place at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi on Thursday 22 October, two days before UFC 333. In the main event Farida Abdueva of Kyrgyzstan beat champion Michele Oliveira by unanimous decision to win the women's strawweight title, FightBook MMA reported. It was Oliveira's first defence.
The co-main event between Sylvester Chipfumbu, the promotion's intercontinental featherweight champion, and Egypt's Abdelrahman Essam ended in a majority draw after Chipfumbu lost a point for an illegal elbow in round two. Essam, who came in at 10-0, remains unbeaten at 10-0-1.
Elsewhere on the card, Rashid Vagabov submitted Marciano Ferreira with a modified twister in round one, Peter Danesoe stopped Farkhod Kudratov in round two, and Murad Ibragimov submitted Juscelino Pantoja with a short choke in round one. Amirchupan Taygibov beat Morocco's Karim Labdou by first-round TKO with a body shot.
Also on the winning side: Bashir Mustafaev, Maycon Alcino, Jaures Dea, Flobater Fares, Ata Atdayev and Lisa Zimmo. UAE Warriors is the Abu Dhabi-based MMA promotion that runs regular shows in the capital.
