Who is Central Cee? The UK rap star headlining BREDx Abu Dhabi
From Loading to a ten-week UK number one with Dave, the West London rapper plays Etihad Live on 14 November.
Central Cee co-headlines BREDx at Etihad Live on Yas Island on Saturday 14 November, sharing the bill with Bryson Tiller. In only a few years he has become one of the most successful British rappers on the global charts.
He was born Oakley Neil Caesar-Su on 4 June 1998 in Ladbroke Grove, West London. His drill single Loading, released in October 2020, reached the UK top 20, and his self-released mixtape Wild West debuted at No. 2 on the UK albums chart in 2021.
His 2022 mixtape 23 became his first UK No. 1 album, and the single Doja debuted at No. 2 the same year. In 2023, Sprinter with Dave spent ten weeks at No. 1 in the UK, the longest run at the top for a UK rap single.
Band4Band with Lil Baby followed in 2024 and peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest placing for a UK rap song on that chart. His debut studio album, Can't Rush Greatness, came out on 24 January 2025, topped the UK chart and reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
His MOBO Awards include Best Newcomer and Best Drill Act in 2021, Best Male Act in 2022 and 2023, Video of the Year for Doja and Song of the Year for Sprinter. He took the album on the road with the Can't Rush Greatness World Tour in 2025.
