Who is Anyma? Tale Of Us, Genesys and the Sphere residency before Abu Dhabi
A guide to Matteo Milleri, the melodic techno artist behind the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-party on 4 December.
Anyma is the solo project of Matteo Milleri, an Italian-American DJ and producer born in New York in 1988. He is one half of the duo Tale Of Us with Carmine Conte, and is the founder of the Afterlife label, according to Techno Airlines. He launched Anyma in 2021 with the Sentient EP.
His shows are known for their visuals, created with visual artist Alessio De Vecchi, including the CGI robot character EVA. His debut album Genesys came out in 2023 and Genesys II followed in 2024 on Afterlife and Interscope, Sphere Entertainment says.
Anyma became the first electronic musician to hold a residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, with eight sold-out nights over the New Year of 2024 and 2025, followed by four more shows of The End of Genesys in late February and early March 2025.
Tracks such as Eternity, Syren, Pictures Of You and Hypnotized, his 2025 single with Ellie Goulding, have pushed him up the DJ Mag Top 100, where he was ranked third in 2026. In Abu Dhabi he plays the Grand Prix after-party at Yas Gateway Park on Friday 4 December, a show The National lists for Grand Prix ticket holders.
